Background
Professor of Statistical Ecology at UiT since 2003, my work is mainly focused on northern and alpine regions. I am particularly interested in population dynamics, analyses of diversity patterns and ecosystem changes, and the problems of identifying causes of changes.
My role in SUSTAIN
My contribution to SUSTAIN will be in terms of the statistical methods needed to fit models to data. A particular focus is on using hierarchical and graphical models to identify causes of changes such as climate and management in a spatial and temporal context.
